Entwining old school romance and erotica, Nicola Motley (Jada
Pearl) is set to bring you a stand out reading experience from the
normal approach on contemporary fiction. Born and raised in Detroit,
Michigan, Jada Pearl started writing when she was 13 years old. She
always had a strong passion for stories. So much so that she began
working in the Detroit Public Library and soaked in all the books she
read. Her love for writing was reinforced when her job hosted a Romantic
Reader's of Michigan meeting. Being around other authors and learning
how they developed their craft, Jada knew there was nothing more that
she wanted to do. She wanted to make sure that everyone who read her
stories were able to put themselves in the place of the main character.
When she isn't penning, Jada Pearl spends her time with family and friends, setting up workshops for the community to learn computer skills and is CEO of her Event Planning Company, Lasting Memories. She currently resides in Southfield, MI with her sons.

When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
When I
was around 13, the writing bug got a hold of me as I started out
writing poems, and short stories.
Where do your ideas come from?
Mostly dreams, some of what I see and life experiences.
How long does it take you to write a book?
It all depends but normally 3-5 months.
Do you work to an outline or plot or do you prefer just see
where an idea takes you?
Haha I'm all over the place sometimes but I
do prefer the outline method it keeps me focused.
How do you think you’ve evolved creatively?
That's a hard
one, if I look at myself from back in my 20s and 30s, I would say I
have evolved immensely, but I know I have a lot of growing to do.
What is the hardest thing about writing?
Finding extensive time to write, love scenes.
What is your work schedule like when you're writing?
I write in the early mornings and late at night
